Al-Fadl reported: A woman from the tribe of Khath’am said, “O Messenger of Allah, my father is an old man and Allah has obligated him to perform the Hajj pilgrimage but he is cannot ride on the back of a camel.” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “So perform the pilgrimage on his behalf.”

Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would supplicate by saying, “O Lord, help me and do not help against me, support me and do not support against me, plan for me and do not plan against me. Guide me and make guidance easy for me. Support me against those who transgress against me. O Lord, make me grateful to you, mindful of you, fearful of you, obedient to you, humble to you, turning to you and repenting. O Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sin, answer my supplication, establish my proof, direct my tongue, guide my heart, and take out the malice in my chest.”

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH), said, “If people knew the virtues in the call to prayer and the first row of prayer and that they could not get it without drawing lots, then they would surely draw lots. If they knew the virtue in joining prayer at the beginning of its time, then they would race to it. If they knew the virtue in prayer at evening and at dawn, then they would surely come even if they had to crawl.”
